3D and Video Lag
I've tried using the latest 3dfx reference drivers (dx7 enhanced or whatever), but it creates not only the mouse lag, but a sort of odd video lag. No matter what detail settings I play on, the video always seems to be playing catch-up. I'll get a great framerate, but I see things happen after they actually do.

Now they all have onboard video and about 512 megs of RAM and they are Celery 733s. I notice in general Linux (Mac OSX too) likes lots of RAM would more help or The side effect of this is that video competes with other processes for use of RAM, which could explain the lag - especially if the system is otherwise

If I switch over to QuickTime, Premier is much much faster, the problem is that the DV500 capture software only captures in the PinnacleDV format, so you can't edit it using the QT drivers.
