I've encountered some occasional *horrible* video lag within the last month. It's definitely the game because I did a full system reformat when nothing else worked (Hell, I've rebuilt systems for less reason!) and still had the same problem. Had to log, sometimes reboot to cure it. It hit me really bad again as I

But the video lag wasn't as bad in Feerrott as it was in Uguk. In Guk, it was a slideshow, maybe a frame a sec, but in Feerrott, it was more like 2-3 fps. The DSS you were watching was via Castle Rock where the signal was received and retransmitted through the DSS satellite - adding an additional geosync time lag. So you could have heard your play as much as .4 seconds earlier than the video, depending on how your radio was receiving the game.

The audio and video lag, only occur at larger files. It make me thinking about the MEMORY problems. Am I right? There shouldn't be anything involving "memory" during playback on an actual DVD player. It sounds like the disc you burned just isn't fully compatible with the player. Can you try the disc on someone

At least with Duriel you are entering an entire new map area... with Lister all you are adding is a couple of monsters... I can't say for sure, but when I got my new PC with a better video card, ListerLag dropped from 20+ seconds to about 1 second. That makes it look like Video lag, but I don't know why. short.

On a 350 mhz PC at home the video is considerably off (by maybe 1/2 sec) by the end of the piece. This is critical since it's basically just interviews and talking heads. When mouths don't match words it looks terrible. On slower Macs, I didn't experience any video lag -- though on my older 225 mhz clone the video

Video Card Question OpenGL Voodoo 3000
First,
you could get a video card with it's own VRAM, maybe even some acceleration and 24-bit capability. This will really make a difference for anything involving the screen and it will let you see QuickTime movies that look half decent. The other way is to get a cache card. This will accelerate your video a bit,

Audio/Video lag in MPEG2 created with VS6
The game seems sooo much easier with 0 video lag. btw to anyone who doesn't know, the game runs at 25fps. Anything that your comp is displys higher then 25fps is just extra filler (repeated frames). As long as you can keep it over 25fps, you are not missing anything. My display shows 155-180 FPS.
